1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect and why

• Orders: your email address, name (if provided to Stripe), the product bought, the amount paid and the order date. We need this to deliver your file, send your receipt, keep the accounting records required by law, and answer your questions (performance of a contract, legal obligation).
• Payment: your card or payment details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never receive your full card number.
• Custom scenario requests: first name, email address, occasion, number of players and your message, so that we can prepare a proposal (steps prior to a contract).
• Review requests: 48 to 72 hours after a purchase we email you once to ask for a review of your game. Your review is published with your first name only, and never if you rate below 4 out of 5 (legitimate interest; you can object at any time by replying to the email).
• Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly by our host for security, and cookie-free aggregate audience statistics (Vercel Analytics).
• Advertising measurement: on the English-language site we may use Microsoft Clarity and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tools use cookies or similar identifiers to measure how visitors use the site and whether an ad led to a purchase.

3. Who we share data with

Only with service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and our database host (order, request and review storage). Some of these providers are located in the United States; transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers, except for the anonymous conversion signals described above.

4. How long we keep data

• Order and receipt data: 10 years (French accounting law).
• Custom requests and correspondence: 3 years after our last exchange.
• Reviews: as long as they are published; you may ask for removal at any time.
• Server logs: a few weeks.

5. Cookies

The store itself works without cookies. A single technical cookie may remember your language preference. Measurement tools (Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads), when enabled, set their own cookies; you can block them in your browser settings without affecting your purchase.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw a consent at any time. Write to hello@murdertoorder.com; we answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr) or with the authority of your country.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
